Resume

Summary of Qualifications

I have 20 years of professional Instructional Design experience. I began my career with Smith/Boehm Associates. I developed and maintained many of their high-end courses as well as end-user training for e-mail while on a project in Osaka, Japan. I continued my work with Origin, delivering many of the same courses for P&G and developing new training for corporate e-mail systems.

While attending UC’s MBA program, I taught the PC Skills Lab for incoming freshmen as well as continued working with Origin delivering end-user training and developing new classes.

After graduate school, I took the opportunity to work with the founder of Smith/Boehm to start a new training company. As a startup, I supplemented my income with independent projects designing and delivering training materials for many corporate transition projects.

I worked as an information developer at Synchrony Communications initially developing the user and administration manuals, later developing and implementing online help and basic e-learning.

After working with MeadWestvaco (through ARC technologies) to bring their help desk support in-house, I worked as a help desk analyst for two years. I then began working as an independent contractor for Computer Horizons delivering training at P&G for Lectora and intranet design applications. This training was global in nature and delivered using WebEx for interactive, remote training. In addition, I began working with Abreon at P&G developing instructional design materials for many clients. In my role with Abreon I worked on many different kinds of projects where we had to determine the best approach to deliver to each unique client. This resulted in various delivery methods ranging from traditional instructor-led training, web-based delivery (WebEx, LiveMeeting, or NetMeeting), web-based training (Lectora, HTML, or Flash-based training) to basic conference-call training. As part of a project team, I have worked with team members to develop the right mix of training opportunities for each user group.
